Kishan and I became friends through Council of Fashion (COF), the very first fashion related organization in UPLB founded by our common friend Moubee Tumanguil. Moubee tapped the both of us to be part of the organization to help with the first UPLB Fashion Show - me as the photographer and Kishan as one of the stylists. We became "kind of" close during the model casting and it continued 'til now.
While I was shooting her, I asked her if it ever crossed her mind to undergo a sex change operation. "Gusto ko muna umabot ako ng 25 bago ko 'yon gawin kasi baka phase lang pala 'tong pinagdadaanan ko, baka bumalik pa ko sa pagkalalaki *chuckles*", she said. (I'll do it when I turn 25 'cause (this) could just be a phase, I might go back to being a man).
I've never met someone who's too open-minded and fluid as her and that's something I admire about Kishan; she's open for any changes and she would even embrace it, just like what she does now being openly transgendered amidst the social stigma.
