Mabuhay!

My name is Gill Salgado (pronounced as "hill"), a freelance portrait photographer based in Laguna, Philippines. I finished my degree in BS Development Communication at the University of the Philippines Los Baños and also a proud member of the UP Photographers' Society.

My interest in photography started when I was in 4th year high school using my very first iPhone 3G and I've been doing photography ever since then as a hobby and as a form of living. I have constantly fell in love with photography because I learn something new every shoot - discovering new places, experiencing new things, meeting new people, and knowing new stories. Every shoot makes me a better person.

I mainly shoot portraiture because I like to interact with other people and know their stories, but I also challenge myself to shoot other genres and view things in a different perspective.

This blog contains a mixture of my own and other people's stories and I hope I'm able to give them justice through my words and photographs. Hit me up for collaborations or commissioned works. It would be a pleasure to capture your ideas and stories.
